If you’re a longtime Megayacht News Radio podcast listener, you may remember a few years ago we welcomed Andrew Grant Super of Berkeley Rand as a guest. He shared details about what was then a new concept in yachting: having “experiential engineers” create off-grid superyacht experiences for owners and guests through immersive technology and artificial intelligence. A lot has changed since that conversation. Berkeley Rand is even more aptly called an experiential adventure company, and it’s creating experiences in well-traveled destinations as well as the far-off ones.
In fact, some of those experiences include the re-creation of Atlantis, private, pop-up restaurants in the middle of the Maldives with Michelin Star chefs, and more.
In this episode of Megayacht News Radio, Grant shares:
- what being a “superyacht experiential adventure company” means
- how he and his team are adding an element of unexpected excitement to owners’ and charter guests’ experiences, especially when they’ve been to a destination dozens of times
- how a superyacht experiential adventure involves not just augmented reality, but really mixed reality to a larger scale
- why what clients want comes down to one word: enlightenment.
