Announced by Baglietto last fall, the Baglietto V-Line series strongly focuses on the 131- to 164-foot (40-to 50-meter) market. While multiple designers contribute, for diversity in styling and interior design, the series remains faithful thematically to the Italian shipyard’s past projects. Two new proposals from Hot Lab, a 38m (above) and a 41m (below), expand the possibilities.
Vertical bows characterize the Baglietto V-Line, as does strong, somewhat militaristic styling. The latter is a familiar part of the builder’s deliveries. In late 2016, the builder first revealed two designs for the V-Line series, by Francesco Paszkowski and Hot Lab. Both measure 144 feet (44 meters). It then revealed details of one by Santa Maria Magnolfi, measuring 180 feet (55 meters).
With the new Hot Lab designs, the smaller of the two is 125 feet, with a raised pilothouse. The larger is 135 feet, a trideck. Baglietto and Hot Lab liken the linear nature of their profiles to that of deliveries like Adler and Al Fahedi. Hot Lab also kept with the trend of using more, and larger, glass panes. In addition, it took inspiration from cars, as it usually does. In fact, Hot Lab echoes the wedge-like form of the famed 1970 Bertone Lancia Stratos Zero in each yacht’s sundeck.
With the Baglietto V-Line 41m megayacht, buyers get 180-degree views and breezes in the dining area. It’s aft on the main deck, with sliding glass on three sides. A balcony opens up the main-deck master suite, too. All guests aboard get use of a beach club, fitted with a gym and a shower, and can enjoy cocktails up on the sundeck.
The sundeck is a major social spot aboard the Baglietto V-Line 38m as well. A bar, dining area, seating, and sunning spots all welcome guests. The covered foredeck turns into a sunning spot via loose lounges when wanted. Interestingly, Hot Lab includes a deployable table here, for further fun times. Speaking of fun, the swim platform can hold watertoys, plus has a fold-out section to enhance enjoyment.
Note that while the 38m shown here has a raised pilothouse, Baglietto and Hot Lab will design and build a trideck version on request.
