If you can’t get to the party, let the party come to you. Feadship treated clients and fans around the world last Friday night to one heckuva dance party, live on YouTube. If you missed it, here’s your chance to catch Feadship SoundWaves. Set against the backdrop of one of its yards, it’s an hour-long set from one of the world’s most famous DJs.
Feadship turned the helipad at its Feadship Makkum shipyard into an open-air dance club at sunset, complete with lighting effects. Fedde Le Grand, an award-winning Dutch house DJ and record producer, spun the turntable for the evening.
Clearly, Feadship is proud of its Dutch heritage, so selecting Le Grand was only natural. Additionally, if you’ve ever attended the Monaco Yacht Show, or just plain passed by a megayacht late at night, chances are you’ve seen and heard epic parties on deck after deck. Chances are also high you’ve attended more than one of those parties yourself. (Hats off to all the hard-working crews who’ve kept the sea of shoes organized dockside, too.)
In these continued days of pandemic restrictions around the world on travel and gathering, however, far fewer people can enjoy this type of entertainment. That includes the captains and crew of Feadship yachts. Every year, Feadship throws a big thank-you party for them. So, since it can’t do so this year, Feadship SoundWaves was the next best, creative thing. Simultaneously, it’s a party for everyone to enjoy.
Even better, it’s a great excuse for you to get the family together in your living room—or your saloon or sundeck, if you’re onboard a yacht—turn the volume up, and dance like no one’s watching.
By the way, this won’t be the last of Feadship SoundWaves. The shipyard team is currently taking requests for future party sets. Who would you like to see and hear perform?
