The next time the public sees the Benetti FB615 project, she’ll be preparing for her christening and be weeks from hand over. The shipyard has just transferred her from its construction shed to the outfitting shed at its Livorno, Italy facilities.
FB615 is hull number 15 in the Benetti B.Now 50M series. The steel and aluminum model range bears styling by the British design studio RWD. Notably, the series’ on-water premiere occurred in 2021 with the delivery of the yacht Iryna (below). Recent deliveries include the yacht Alunya, whose owners began cruising aboard last year.
Like the owners of Alunya and Iryna, the owner of Benetti FB615 has opted for the popular Oasis Deck (below). The Oasis Deck is an open entertaining area at the stern with a pool and aft-facing lounges, plus fold-down side platforms. Essentially, it becomes an entirely alfresco beach club and the social center of the superyacht.
Although Benetti and the owner’s team are keeping most details close to the vest, they do reveal that the interior design is by RWD. If the project follows in the footsteps of previous deliveries, she’ll therefore have five staterooms for a party of 10. This means a main-deck master suite and four guest staterooms below decks, in traditional fashion. Regardless, it’s interesting to note that despite RWD having an established history of both exterior and interior design, this is the first B.Now 50M featuring its interior handiwork.
Edmund Beckett, Burgess New Build Sales’ senior partner, says, “The beginning of outfitting in Livorno is a significant milestone for this project.” The milestones will wrap up by next summer, when delivery is set to take place.
