Dubai-based Gulf Craft has been building the Majesty Yachts lineup of megayachts since 1997. The only yacht builder in its region, it has attracted clients across the Middle East as well as Europe and the Asia Pacific region. However, Majesty Yachts has not, until now, marketed to American buyers. The brand is kicking off its formal U.S. launch at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with the Majesty 140, one of its largest megayacht models, as well as the Majesty 100.
With 1,500 engineers, designers, and craftspeople, Majesty Yachts manufactures nearly every part in house. It also builds to whatever classification society a customer requests, offering entirely fiberglass or carbon composite projects. Mohammed Hussain Alshaali, Majesty Yachts’ chairman, says that its efficient production permits introducing a megayacht “to the U.S. market with savings of as much as 20 percent compared to currently available, competitive yacht offerings.” It’s certainly turned some heads, since Greg Terraglio, Majesty Yachts USA’s managing partner, says stateside buyers have already stepped up for Majesty 140 and 100 hulls.
Featuring an interior by Cristiano Gatto Design, the Majesty 140 is a trideck with features American buyers like to see. For instance, the main-deck master suite has an extendable balcony. The skylounge, meanwhile, is an extra-social space, conceived as what Majesty Yachts terms a cigar lounge (above). A healthy-size seating area occupies the port side, adjoining a games/cocktails table and opposite a striking backlit bar.
While glamor and opulence characterize the 398-gross-ton yacht, overall decor is, of course, up to each customer to choose. (Witness the not-to-be-left-out wheelhouse, below.) Regardless of design choice, the performance package should attract interest. Bahamian cruisers will appreciate the relatively shallow 7’2” (2.2-meter) draft. Plus, the Majesty 140 should see a top speed of 20 knots with MTU power, along with a range of 4,750 nautical miles at 10 knots.
The Majesty 100, meanwhile, may be smaller but no less capable of long-range cruising. Anticipate a 1,050-nautical-mile range at 12 knots with MAN engines, for instance. Top speed should be 23 knots. Creature comforts include two fold-down balconies and a fully enclosed skylounge.
Overall, the Majesty Yachts lineup starts with the 100 and, besides the 140, includes a 120, 122, 125, 155, and 175. In fact, the first Majesty 175 launches later this year. She, too, bears interior design by Cristiano Gatto and should have a range exceeding 4,000 nautical miles.
Majesty Yachts’ stateside sales and service representative is Majesty Yachts USA, with locations in Fort Lauderdale and Stuart, Florida. The brand additionally has longstanding relationships with a variety of yacht brokerage houses.
