RJ 115 Yacht Pazienza Put in the Water in Italy

Patience has paid off for an Australian cruising enthusiast, following a few years of yacht shopping and ultimately design work with Cantiere delle Marche and Francesco Paszkowski Design. His RJ 115 yacht Pazienza—whose name translates from Italian to “patience”—has celebrated her launch day.

The 115-footer (35-meter) represents the third RJ series launch. The other RJ series projects are the RJ 130 yacht from 2021 (now going by the name Nuri) and the RJ 115 Stellamar, which just saw delivery this year. Each is unmistakably a true explorer, with redundancies and robust construction for globetrotting. In fact, the yacht Pazienza should exceed a cruising range of 5,500 nautical miles at 9 knots. She further has a steel hull, like her predecessors.

Further like her predecessors, the yacht Pazienza features more artistic styling touches than most expedition projects, from Francesco Paszkowski Design. That includes opening hatches like the one for the toy garage, as requested by the owner. Notably, it also includes opening glass doors in the dining area and opening windows in the master suite and its office, all on the main deck. This, too, was an owner request, so that he could enjoy a stronger sensation of being at sea.

Throughout the interior, the owner worked closely with the Pazkowski studio and Margherita Casprini. Since the owner will cruise with a big crowd, five guest staterooms were important. Therefore, four sit below decks, while a VIP is on the upper deck. All staterooms, saloons, and more combine light and dark colors through materials like marble, wood paneling, and fabrics. They include a combination of custom furnishings and renowned-label furnishings as well, like Maxalto and Flexform.

As much as comfortable interior areas were important, alfresco spaces were equally important. Especially noteworthy, the sundeck is where the owner expects to spend a lot of time with guests. An agate-clad pool grabs attention fully aft, while a bar covered in the same stone is in the shade of the hardtop. Dining, lounging, and of course sunning from morning to evening will all take place up here.

When guests want to head ashore or play on the water, the crew of the yacht Pazienza have options. Firstly, they can open the toy garage hatch to launch a tender or a handful of toys. Secondly, they can launch the primary tender from the aft upper deck. The crane to deploy and retrieve that tender is hidden in the underpart of the sundeck above.

While Cantiere delle Marche continues finishing work on Pazienza, it has a few more RJ series superyachts in the works. One is an already-publicized RJ 155. Interestingly, the prior owner of the above-mentioned RJ 130 decided to step up to her. Finally, two more Australian customers have each signed contracts for an RJ 100.
