In its ongoing effort to re-imagine its Gran Turismo line of superyachts, ISA Yachts is introducing larger models. The newest is the ISA Gran Turismo 70 yacht, with significant volume and global range.
The series already includes a 108-foot (33-meter) Gran Turismo as well as 148-foot (45-meter) Gran Turismo. The 230-foot (70-meter) ISA Gran Turismo 70 yacht, a.k.a. GT 70, offers approximately 1,650 gross tons of volume for a party of 12. It’s all amid coupé-like styling and interior design by Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design, the same studio behind the smaller models.
Though traditionally, superyachts of all sizes tend to be entirely white, the design team purposely chose shades of gray to stress and stretch out the sleek lines. Additionally, the tones lend a lower profile to her height, plus draw attention to the characteristic ISA Yachts arch running top to bottom.
Since buyers of coupé-like yachts spend significant time outdoors, this megayacht model provides owners with multiple ways to use some spaces. For instance, an alfresco area forward of the master suite naturally can be entirely private, solely for owners to use themselves. Therefore, the ISA Gran Turismo 70 yacht can have direct access from the suite to an infinity pool, with subtle lighting leading the way. (On a related note, the floor-to-ceiling glass rimming the master suite slides open.) As an alternate choice, a touch-and-go helipad can sit forward. However, owners who love entertaining can turn the pool and surrounding deck area into an extra-social space.
Another flexible area is the upper deck, specifically aft. The interior dining area—with rounded glass—can open entirely to the loose and/or fixed alfresco furnishings. Furthermore, the same wood flows between them, making more of a visual connection. It’s dining outdoors with all the enjoyment of the fresh air yet also the often-needed shade for lunchtimes at anchor.
With a VIP and four guest staterooms on the main deck, the ISA Gran Turismo 70 yacht plays to nature throughout her décor, too. Wenge and teak cover walls and floors, with walnut exclusive to the master suite. Leathers, marbles, brass, and more accentuate all the guest areas, also with warm tones and the occasional use of blue, for soothing looks.
Speaking of soothing, extra-large superyacht buyers want spas, so this project delivers. It can be a combination spa and beach club on the lower deck, with three fold-down platforms. A bar and a TV keep it casual day into night.
Anticipate ISA Yachts adding a 164-foot (50-meter) version to the Gran Turismo line soon, too.
