If you’ve never seen the Feadship Fanclub Facebook page, you’re in for a treat. Created by a group of Feadship enthusiasts, members regularly post photos of Feadships they see at the yards and in their travels. This week one such member captured several stunning shots of Royal Romance, one of the newest deliveries. The 303’5” (92.5-meter) megayacht, photographed in The Netherlands a few days ago, is currently en route to other destinations.
Royal Romance was referred to as Hull 1005 while in build at the Royal De Vries yard in Makkum. Though not confidential, the megayacht was still largely kept from wide publicity. The few features that have been made public include a significant-size pool. You can’t see it fully in the pictures, and of course it wouldn’t be full while Royal Romance is in transit. Suffice it to say that the white cover on the aft deck marks its location.
Royal Romance bears styling and naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects. In looking at the various pictures, you’ll surely note primarily enclosed decks straight to the uppermost level. Having a fully enclosed deck here is unusual, for certain. Whatever lies behind the windows here and below was designed by Seymour Diamond, who has contributed to the interiors of a number of significant-size superyachts. They include Eclipse, Al Salamah, Ecstasea, and Sussurro. Royal Romance accommodates an owner’s party of 14.
Jan Ramaker captured these unique pictures of Royal Romance in IJmuiden en route to Stavanger in Norway arriving yesterday. At this moment Royal Romance is heading to the Med with a stopover in Gibraltar.
