The alfresco-oriented, beach-club lifestyle of the Med meets the long-range emphasis of Numarine’s model lineup in the Numarine 40MXP yacht. This new design has already attracted two customers as well.
Largely based on the Numarine 37XP, the 128-footer (39-meter) is purposely a modest superyacht size to retain an intimate feel while cruising. That’s not to say, though, that the model is short on amenities. She provides a pool with a glass wall aft, lounging space, and an alfresco dining area on her elongated aft deck, for example. All of this is possible due to shifting the saloon entry forward by about 10 feet (3 meters). The super-social space connects with a full-beam, hydraulic swim platform for more flexibility. Shade-seekers will appreciate having awning setups available. Should clients want further shade, however, an optional longer upper-deck overhang does the trick.
Ömer Malaz, Numarine’s chairman, says, “It’s very on-trend at the moment to maximize exterior elements on sub-45 meter yachts, but what the 40MXP does so well is add fantastic outdoor living features to the design while retaining the core explorer principles of our XP line.”
With the above features taking care of the “Mediterranean” aspect of “Mediterranean Explorer,” the “Explorer” aspect comes via her range. The Numarine 40MXP yacht should see 6,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. Workhorse 800-MAN engines are standard, although the first two customers—repeat Numarine clients—have opted for the 900-hp MANs. Additionally for exploring quiet coves, the yacht can carry up to a 29-foot (9-meter) tender. Of course, room is aboard for PWCs and other toys, too.
The 12-passenger project, with full-beam master and VIP staterooms, premieres in 2025. In fact, both of the two customers who have already signed contracts take delivery then.
