“Exactly like an SUV in the automotive world, the SUY offers the opportunity to experience the vessel with no limits,” says Aldo Manna, Antonini Navi’s partner and sales director. He came up with the concept for the SUY, a.k.a. Sport Utility Yacht, with designer Fulvio De Simoni. Essentially, the superyacht series allows “the owner and his guests to enjoy their yacht at 360 degrees, being able to have toys, amenities, tenders, and any other means suitable for the many sporting and recreational activities that the sea and its places can offer.” Already, the first model is under construction, the 144-foot (44-meter) Antonini Navi SUY 135.
With delivery anticipated in 2026, the megayacht is for owners who want more of a superyacht aesthetic while cruising blue water. In other words, they want to pursue adventures, including with sizable tenders and toys, but don’t want the rugged looks of an explorer. A steel displacement hull suits the global cruising that Antonini Navi anticipates customers will want to do. Simultaneously, good volumes—in this case, 480 gross tons—lend owners and guests the comforts and luxuries they want. Even though De Simoni has penned head-turning superstructure styling, customers can still tailor outside areas and of course interiors.
The suggested layout for the Antonini Navi SUY 135 should attract attention, too. For instance, the master suite occupies 603 square feet (56 square meters) on the main deck. Four staterooms accommodate friends and family below decks. But, if you intend to cruise with a smaller crowd, you can instead request a gym, or a spa/sauna. Yet other stateroom configurations are available, too.
Further noteworthy features may surprise you. For example, a raised-deck area outside connects the main and upper decks, with a short stairway. This mezzanine-like space is further home to the pool. The raised area additionally creates nice shade and shelter for a 431-square-foot (40-square-meter) alfresco dining area directly beneath it on the main deck. Other alfresco amenities overall include a beach club with a hot tub, a second hot tub on the sundeck, and further dining, along with cocktails and sunning, on the sundeck.
With room for a 23-fot (7-meter) RIB and more watertoys, the Antonini Navi SUY 135 is run by a crew of five plus the captain.
Moravia Yachting holds the central sales listing for hull number one. Antonini Navi says it will release details soon about other yachts in the SUY series, including the SUY 190 and SUY 108.
