You’re looking at the latest launch from Trinity Yachts, Lady Michelle. The 161-footer was handed to her American owners in early June and shortly thereafter made her way across the Atlantic on her own bottom to spend the summer season in the Med. The yacht was built for such trips: With 16,100 gallons of fuel and twin 2,250-hp Caterpillar engines, she sees a range of about 4,200 nautical miles at 10 knots. Cruise speed is about 19 knots.
Some other quick facts:
* she accommodates ten guests in five staterooms; if one or two more guests arrive, the media room, which has a full bath, converts to an extra stateroom
* when the media room is used strictly for entertainment, a 40-inch plasma TV, an assortment of DVDs, and a PlayStation 3 keep everyone amused
* the owner’s suite is on the main deck, complete with king-size bed, his and her baths, and an office
* nine crewmembers are housed in five staterooms
* toys aplenty are onboard: two kayaks, two PWCs capable of carrying two people each, a 13-foot tender, a 21-foot RIB, and a 32-foot Intrepid; there’s also scuba gear for four people
* the interior, designed by Dee Robinson Interiors, boasts makore and anigre woods as well as inlaid marble
Lady Michelle is available for charter while in the Med and will also be available in the Caribbean this winter. Contact your favorite charter broker to book her.
