As part of Northrop & Johnson’s senior team, Patrick Coote is helping to define the company’s global marketing strategy. Like many business, it saw an impact on charter bookings due to COVID-19. With restrictions lifting, though, Coote says inquiries are on the rise. In this episode of the Megayacht News Radio podcast series, Coote shares interesting insight into customers’ mindsets, especially how some cannot wait to get out and travel again.
Interestingly, though, Northrop & Johnson is noticing that those who are eager to travel still naturally fall into one of a few different categories. The differences can be quite dramatic, too, from the stay-close-to-home travelers to the bucket listers.
Coote further shares with us:
- what traditional charter regions are fully open, and how the company is tracking the ever-changing policies for customers on its website
- how Northrop & Johnson has established general guidelines for its yachts, to assuage client concerns
- how the company is actively targeting and addressing the questions of first-time charterers
- why relationships with other luxury businesses are leading to success.
