If you’ve been considering buying an inflatable slide for your yacht, now is a good time. Why? Because purchasing the newest FunAir slide, the Adjustable Yacht Slide, will support a good cause. FunAir and National Marine Suppliers will donate $200 to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation for every in-stock FunAir Adjustable Yacht Slide purchased through October 27.
The FunAir Adjustable Yacht Slide is being introduced at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show next week. It’s for yachts whose rails are 13 to 18 feet (4 to 5.5 meters, respectively) from the waterline. It was conceived to be an in-stock item, too, shipped within days vs. weeks or months. The custom slides that FunAir has so far offered take time to manufacture, understandably. Equally understandable, some buyers don’t necessarily want personalization, nor to wait.
The FunAir Adjustable Yacht Slide costs $6,995. “That’s about half what it usually costs a yacht owner for a custom-designed inflatable slide,” says Mark Anastasia, co-founder of FunAir. The Adjustable Yacht Slide is still made of commercial-grade, 0.9-mm PVC, like the custom products are. The PVC is further UV protected, and the slide comes with a three-year warranty.
If you’re attending the boat show, your wait might be even less. National Marine Suppliers will let you take delivery on November 3, the last day, to save you shipping.
Dean Dutoit, CEO of National Marine Suppliers, says his company is proud to help FunAir “support an important cause like breast cancer research.” It’s not the first time National Marine Suppliers has raised funding for the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, either. Last year, its annual Yacht Bikers Poker Run and its customer-appreciation party, the latter held during the Fort Lauderdale boat show, helped raise $34,000 for the charity.
