The newest flying-bridge model in Ferretti Yachts’ is coming to American shores in a little over three months. She’s the Ferretti 850, one of the biggest models in the builder’s 10-model lineup.
While the megayacht will make her global debut at an event for Ferretti Group clients this summer, she’ll be at two boat shows, too. Her European boat-show debut takes place at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Her American premiere occurs at the Fort Lauderdale show, a.k.a. FLIBS, in November.
At 85’3” (26 meters) in length, the Ferretti 850 features the emphasis on good speeds that her sisters share. The standard 1,800-hp MAN engine package should push her to 29 knots max. Optional 1,900-hp MANs promise 31 knots. You can enjoy those speeds from either an open or shaded flying bridge—the latter with a hardtop, as seen on hull number one above.
The first three hulls in the Ferretti 850 series have owners, in fact. Ferretti Yachts has not stated how each buyer has configured the interior. There are two main-deck layouts from which to choose, though. In one, the galley is open to the saloon, with barstools at a countertop. In the other, the galley is fully forward.
The Ferretti 850 has four staterooms for you and your guests plus two crew cabins regardless of main-deck arrangement. Naturally, the master is full beam, aft. The yacht’s beam: 20’6” (6.28 meters). Crew go fully forward, each cabin having a head. Zuccon International Project, the Ferretti Group’s preferred partner for all of its yachts, created the layout.
Also regardless of arrangement, Ferretti 850 buyers can personalize the interior decor.
Among all the Ferretti Yachts offerings, only the Ferretti 870 and Ferretti 960 are bigger.
