With superstructure styling resembling a torpedo cutting through the water, Project Neptune is the newest offering from Turquoise Yachts. Created with the designers at Hot Lab, the 213-foot (65-meter) megayacht is meant to entice potential owners to bring her to reality.
The shipyard, which is preparing the delivery of the 239-foot (75-meter) Roe for early next year, and the design studio have collaborated previously. In fact, they presented a concept project, Amor, during the Monaco Yacht Show in 2019. However, the Italian design studio contributed to that 180-footer’s (55-meter’s) interiors, not styling and interiors, which is the case with Project Neptune.
Regardless, the exterior looks of the new megayacht are just the beginning. Given her 1,328 gross registered tons, she offers a voluminous ambience, to be more competitive in the 55- to 65-meter (180- to 213-foot) megayacht market. Her beam is a healthy 38’7” (11.8 meters). She should feel more voluminous, too, thanks to low bulwarks on each deck paired with full-height glass. Although Turquoise Yachts hasn’t specified expected performance numbers, the steel displacement hull design, from Azure Naval Architects, certainly will provide transatlantic range. That will make waking up in anchorages from Mexico to the Mediterranean possible.
When in those anchorages, Project Neptune provides several relaxation areas in which to indulge. Besides traditional saloons and dining areas, for instance, the megayacht can have a cinema and a gym. But, the beach club arguably stands to impress the most. The primary point of arrival when coming from shore, it has fold-down platforms on three sides. Furthermore, it has a glass ceiling—which is the glass bottom of the pool directly above. The pool, by the way, stretches nearly 20 feet (6 meters) across.
Come nighttime, six staterooms cater to guests, including two VIP suites. The master suite, meanwhile, has a private office. And, crew get seven double cabins, along with a dedicated first officer’s cabin and the captain’s cabin.
