When the Riva 76 Perseo premiered stateside five years ago, the style and amenities captivated customers. In fact, the shipyard says the Sport Fly model became one of its most popular. The new version of that megayacht, the 76 Perseo Super, picks up where she left off, making luxurious day cruising more indulgent.
Hull number one just premiered at the Cannes Yachting Festival, following her launch last spring. Dimensions-wise, she’s slightly longer than her predecessor at 76’3” (23.25 meters), but with the same 18’9” (5.75-meter) beam. She also shares her predecessor’s expansive use of glass, more than 430 square feet (40 square meters). The idea then, as now, is to enhance the emotional connection to the seascapes. In fact, a new opening glass sunroof adds even more to it. When it’s closed, you still enjoy a bright ambience in the open-plan main deck. The area features the saloon, dining area, and helm. With the sunroof open (below), of course, fresh breezes come in.
Ensuring you never forget you’re aboard a Riva, characteristic aesthetic details abound. Officina Italiana Design and the Ferretti Group’s design divisions apply mahogany and polished stainless steel accents around the exterior decks. For instance, the aft-deck teak dining table has a polished stainless steel base—with the Riva logo additionally etched in the table. More stainless steel and mahogany elevate an optional corner bar with refrigerator, sink, icemaker, and barstools out here, too. Inside, you can opt for classic Riva rosewood paneling instead of the more modern-appealing oak. Regardless, the 76 Perseo Super features mirrored surfaces or contrasting lacquers, as well as polished stainless steel, in typical fashion.
Some of the 76 Perseo Super improvements include social spaces. The above-mentioned aft deck, for example, lets you convert the alfresco dining table to a giant sunpad on request. Yet another request you should make: the inclusion of a refrigerator drawer under the settee. On the flying bridge, meanwhile, an even larger sunpad dominates. It occupies 43 square feet (4 square meters), plus pairs with an adjacent, forward-facing settee for a more amiable atmosphere. Even the helm station here becomes a conversation area, thanks to port and starboard settees flanking it. And, just like on the aft deck, you can add a refrigerator drawer beneath one of the settees.
Sleeping aboard should be more peaceful, thanks to extra insulation around the master and more ergonomic furnishings in your suite. The Riva 76 Perseo Super still has three staterooms for you and guests below decks, like her predecessor, though a fourth is now optional. Another new feature below: an intimate lounge with an L-shape settee or a low table with a pouf ottoman. The lounge is opposite the galley, somewhat small but still functional for owner-operators or a two-person crew operation. (The crew bunks are by the engine room, accessible via the aft deck.)
Take a look around the 32-knot 76 Perseo Super. (Not fast enough? No problem. Optional 1,800-mhp MANs push her to 37 knots.)
