Bering Yachts doesn’t just build rugged-looking, long-range yachts and megayachts. It now also offers charter bookings. The Bering Charter division already has two yachts available, too, Papillon and Heeus.
While each yacht already has a central agent, Bering Charter is opening up a new, complementary avenue. The central agents and the division therefore are collaborating, in a way that highlights the foundations of design and construction. “It’s a great way to see what our vessels are capable of,” explains Alexei Mikhalov, Bering Yachts’ founder. In fact, charters can range from three days to several weeks, particularly suiting those wishing to try before buying.
Each yacht will appeal to different cruisers. Papillon (above and below), for instance, is a Bering B92 from 2022 accommodating 10 guests. With decidedly contemporary yachting flair outside, she has minimalism-inspired social spaces across three decks. Since ocean-crossing is a priority, the megayacht is capable of a 3,500-nautical-mile range at 9 knots. Four crewmembers make for a good guest-to-crew ratio and more personal attention and interaction during charters. Adventure-seekers can sit with the captain in the wheelhouse and map out the journeys that lie ahead during the charter as well.
Heeus (top of page and below), meanwhile, is hull number one in the Bering B145 series. Her hybrid propulsion system puts a range of 5,000 nautical miles at charter guests’ disposal. Notably, she’s an adventurer with a luxurious soul. A beach club is aboard, for example, encompassing 430 square feet (40 square meters) and featuring a hammam and a sauna. Heeus further has a sundeck among the biggest aboard a superyacht in her size range, coming in at 990 square feet (92 square meters). Sunning, dining, and movie watching—thanks to an alfresco cinema screen—are the enviable amenities. Heeus accommodates 10 people as well.
Bering Charter is enticing customers with the idea of taking off-the-beaten-path charters, given each yacht’s capabilities. Papillon and Heeus are both in the Caribbean this winter. Rates start at $48,300, plus expenses.
On a related note, since some of the charter yachts may also end up for sale, Bering is offering extended sea-trial packages. If you book a three- or four-day package, Bering Yachts reimburses the expense when you buy the yacht.
