If you’re a foodie (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), settle into your favorite chair for this one. Nina Wilson of the motoryacht Loon, a.k.a. The Crew Chef on YouTube and Instagram, will have you salivating within seconds.
In fact, in the first 30 seconds alone, you’ll see Wilson and her fellow crewmembers sorting an enormous amount of food that she just had delivered for provisioning. The food is for all of the meals for guests and crew aboard the 221-footer (67-meter) for the next several days.
The majority of the video, though, has Wilson taking you through her daily routine preparing breakfast. It starts really early, too, well before the first guests wake up. Before the clock strikes 7, in fact, The Crew Chef is getting the oven ready for a boatload of fresh bread, muffins, and pastries. Yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit platters (as beautiful to see as surely they are to eat), and more get prepped soon after. Oh, and this is all in advance of the made-to-order eggs and such that the guests still get.
That is, when they get up. It turns out that on day one of this particular cruise aboard Loon, the guests were pretty sleepy. They finally came topside about an hour and a half later than Wilson anticipated. No matter, though. It’s all in a day’s work for a superyacht chef. Additionally, and more importantly, Wilson is a big fan of breakfast—both making it and eating it.
Of course, it would be a cardinal sin to forget to feed the captain. Loon’s captain one particular day has eggs and avocadoes, among other delectable items on his plate. Between that and more guest treats like cinnamon buns, waffles, and Eggs Benedict, it’s impossible not to be hungry watching.
In between all the fabulous food footage, you get a few peeks at the stunning scenery during the week, from Montenegro to Croatia.
