With two weeks to go before the world’s largest in-water boat show, visitors and exhibitors are filling their appointment books. From October 26 to 30, more than 1,300 boats and yachts of all sizes will be available at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). We recommend these nine new yachts to see at FLIBS, since each is making either her U.S. debut or even her international debut.
Benetti’s Goga
Goga (below) is the first delivery in Benetti’s B.Yond 37M series. The four-deck design features a steel hull, prioritizing long-range cruising with hybrid propulsion. Since the series is semi-custom, the owner of Goga has the master suite facing aft on the bridge deck, enjoying a private alfresco area. Four guest staterooms occupy the main deck.
CL Yachts CLX96
Among the new yachts to see at FLIBS is this “Sea Activity Vessel.” CL Yachts uses this description for the CLX96 because she blends rugged styling with luxury amenities. The shipyard shipped her straight from Asia to Fort Lauderdale for her global premiere, too. Anticipate seeing chic, comfortable leisure areas with machinery meant to let you cruise farther, longer.
Ferretti Yachts 860
Having just made her global premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Ferretti Yachts 860 has pointed her bow for American shores. The build and design teams incorporate far more glass onboard, and floor-to-ceiling glass at that, compared to previous models. This makes the 20-foot (6.22-meter) beam look and feel larger.
Heesen’s Ocean Z
Ocean Z should be on your list of yachts to see at FLIBS for a few reasons. Firstly, she’s the latest in Heesen’s 50M Steel series. Secondly, styling is by Clifford Denn, and interiors are by Reymond Langton Design. Ocean Z started out as Project Aura, with an American cruiser acquiring her last year prior to launch.
Horizon FD 110
The FD (Fast Displacement) series for Horizon Yachts has been quite successful, so the shipyard keeps adding newer and larger models. This trideck is the latest, making her international debut. Get a glimpse at some of her spaces in the video above. Notably, two other FD yachts are debuting, too, the 80 and 100.
Mangusta Oceano 50
The Mangusta Oceano 50 (above) is the flagship of the Mangusta Oceano series, which is for long-range voyaging. The superyacht series is making its American debut at FLIBS. The yacht at the show features six staterooms and, especially notable, a terraced stern covering 732 square feet (68 square meters). It entices guests to stay and play all day.
Ocean Alexander 28E
The newest Explorer series yacht from Ocean Alexander and Evan K. Marshall measures 95 feet (28.83 meters). Although she premiered in Australia a few months back, the 28E is making her American debut. She boasts a glass-enclosed beach club and other leisure areas that feel more voluminous than they are.
Sanlorenzo SP110
The first coupé in Sanlorenzo’s history has an atrium-like configuration as you enter via the main aft deck. The aft deck has nearly 164 square feet (50 square meters) of usable space, too. Sanlorenzo is further debuting the SL120A, an Asymmetric model with full-beam interiors on one side of the main deck.
Sunseeker 90 Ocean
An open-air, two-level beach area lends the Sunseeker 90 Ocean strong appeal (above). Sunseeker’s X-TEND lounges transform the spaces the way you wish as well. Press a button to have the lounges lift up to the aft-deck level and face in toward the rest of the cockpit. Or, leave them at water level. Sunseeker’s also has its 88 Yacht premiering at the show.
These yachts, along with many more superyachts, will be spread across a few of the seven sites for the show. Those sites include the Bahia Mar marina and the Superyacht Village near Pier 66. The Superyacht Village is an exclusive collection of large-yacht builders, personal submarines, exotic cars, and a lounge (above) for drinks and lite bites. Yet another lounge, the Windward VIP Club, is at Bahia Mar. Tickets to the club offers gourmet food and open-bar tastings inside, along with early access to the show each day.
