From September 6 to 11, yacht buyers and builders from around the world will descend on Cannes, Frances, for the kick-off of the superyacht boat-show season. While toys and tenders will be on display, the large yachts are of course a large attraction. Since a significant number of premieres are scheduled, we recommend these yachts to visit at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
Azimut Grande 26M and 36M
At 118 and 85 feet LOA respectively, these two new models are part of the Azimut Grande series. Alfresco living is a priority with both yachts. The Azimut Grande 36M has sliding-glass doors on three sides of her skylounge. The Azimut Grande 26M, meanwhile, has a deploying aft-deck terrace for dining or lounging.
Baglietto 42M Superfast Rush
What better name for a super-sleek, fast superyacht than Rush? Pictured at top, this newly delivered 138-footer (42-meter) hits 28 knots. The all-aluminum yacht even looks fast, with silver paint accentuating her long lines from Paszkowski Design. The same studio handled interior design, although details remain confidential.
Benetti B.Yond 37M Voyager and Oasis 34M
Benetti has multiple yachts to visit at the Cannes Yachting Festival, depending on your style. The Benetti B.Yond 37M Voyager launch ceremony (below) just took place last month. Serious globetrotters will appreciate her remarkable 8,200-nautical-mile range at 9 knots thanks to a flexible propulsion system. More traditional cruisers, meanwhile, will like the Oasis’ aptly named Oasis Deck, with fold-down partitions expanding the main aft deck.
Bering B145 Explorer
Here’s yet another explorer worth a visit at the Cannes Yachting Festival. She’s Bering Yachts’ largest explorer to date, too, at 145 feet (44.2 meters). Her owners christened her Heeus and have plans to visit multiple destinations, including ones with extreme conditions.
Canados Oceanic 143
The new flagship for Canados can see both a 24-knot max speed and transoceanic travels between 8 and 10 knots. In fact, the Oceanic 143 series blends elements of both planing yachts and displacement yachts to make this possible. Be sure to check out the dedicated owners’ deck.
Custom Line 140
A further flagship, this time for Custom Line. The Custom Line 140 (below) keeps the family’s sport looks while providing owners and their families with even more spaces to spread out and enjoy. Styling is by Francesco Paszkowski, with interiors tailored to each buyer with Paszkowski’s studio and its longtime partner Margherita Casprini.
Ferretti Yachts 860
Filippo Salvetti collaborated with Ferretti Yachts for the exterior aesthetics of this flying-bridge beauty. LOA: 88’5” (26.95 meters). Among the special features onboard, a glass bulkhead aft on the main deck makes you feel as if you’re suspended in the air over the sea.
ISA Yachts GT 45 and Extra X96 Triplex
A vertical bow and a fin-shaped hardtop make the ISA Yachts GT 45 stand out. The owner of hull number one incorporated a number of stylistic nods to automobiles in the décor. Unexpectedly for her size range, the Extra X96 Triplex is, as her name states, a trideck. Her superstructure sits farther forward as well, for extra (get it?) outdoor space.
Lynx Crossover 27
The 90-foot (27.4-meter) Crossover 27 blends the best of traditional yacht features with the best of support yacht features. Hull number one, Avontuur, happens to be a stand-alone cruiser, with three staterooms for the owners and guests, but of course has lots of toy stowage, too.
Riva 102 Corsaro Super
More than 1,076 square feet (100 square meters) of usable alfresco space await Riva fans aboard the 102 Corsaro Super. She has a re-imagined main aft deck, 377 square feet (35 square meters) intended as an extension of the swim platform/beach club. Inside (aabove), you’ll find rosewood accents echoing her styling materials.
Sunreef 80 Eco
The Sunreef 80 Eco is an all-electric catamaran from Sunreef Yachts, with solar panels that the shipyard itself developed. Her launch was quite snowy, interestingly enough, since it took place in January. (Sunreef’s shipyard is in Poland.)
Sunseeker 100 Yacht
Complete walkaround access, from bow to stern, characterizes the Sunseeker 100 Yacht. Better yet, though, the main-deck master has a glass door leading out to a private alfresco lounging space. This is something you just don’t see on semi-custom yachts of her size.
