Skylights in the master suite—aboard a 118-footer (36-meter)? Yes, please! Welcome aboard the Mulder yacht Seaflower, the latest member of one of its most successful semi-custom series to date. Once you see the amenities she offers, you’ll understand why that success has resulted.
The yacht, delivered by Mulder Shipyard last summer, is a Mulder Thirty-Six, a series that saw hull number one debut seven years ago. Certainly, styling plays a major role in any yacht owner’s decision, and to that end, this series has turned heads. While the styling is both classic and contemporary, it avoids looking too traditional or too trendy. Yet another important consideration, the series offers good volume, 298 gross tons. Additionally, buyers aren’t limited to choosing wall paneling, stones, and further décor materials. The owners of the Mulder yacht Seaflower chose the five-stateroom configuration among the cabin choices (the other being a six-stateroom arrangement).
That explains the above-mentioned master suite with a skylight. It’s an ample skylight, too, rivaling that aboard far larger megayachts. The suite itself also includes a study, for the occasional need to work while afloat.
Of course, since cruising should be about relaxing with family and friends, the owners set an overall soothing scene onboard. In working with Vickers Studio, they chose whitewashed oak with brass trim to envelop room after room. This, along with some similarly soft-toned fabric wall panels, makes for a warm, welcoming feel.
Furthermore, as part of the Thirty-Six series, the Mulder yacht Seaflower prioritizes leisurely cruising and economical fuel consumption. Top speed, for example, is 17 knots. According to Mulder Shipyard, fuel consumption is less than 21 gallons per hour (80 liters per hour) at 11 knots.
One final note about the series: Hull number seven launched last year.
