Second Romeo Foxtrot for Repeat Hargrave Owners: Sunday Superyacht Video

When Hargrave Custom Yachts shared this video with its clients, it referred to her as the F118, a 118-footer (36-meter) in its F series. Two of those clients knew her well. She’s their second Romeo Foxtrot from Hargrave, and their third overall megayacht from the builder.

The trideck is a raised-pilothouse motoryacht. The owners’ previous Romeo Foxtrot, a super-social and super-chic 116-footer (35-meter), is a trideck, too. Despite being their second Hargrave motoryacht, she was their first custom-built project. Additionally, although they packed a lot of good ideas into the 116, they decided some extra room would afford extra luxuries.

While the interior isn’t included in the footage, the owners have arranged five king-size staterooms for 10 people. Since they like to cook, the galley should be pretty well kitted out, too. Of course, a beach club is aboard as well, with a day head. Alfresco amenities include a hot tub on the sundeck. The yacht’s healthy volume, meanwhile, is 325 gross tons.

This second Romeo Foxtrot should perform well in her owners’ intended extensive travels. For instance, best range should be nearly 2,270 nautical miles. Even at about 20 knots, however, the megayacht should still be capable of covering 741 nautical miles. (Top speed is 21 ½ knots.)Finally, at a comfortable cruising speed of 17½ knots, Romeo Foxtrot should see 900 nautical miles.

Michael Joyce, CEO of Hargrave Custom Yachts, shared a conversation he had with the owners around the time of the launch. They were knee-deep in planning their upcoming summer season in the Med. When he asked where exactly they planned to go, the response was, “Everywhere!”

The owners aren’t quite done yet with Hargrave, either. They have another custom yacht in development, even larger than this. Stay tuned.
