Those of you who want anything but a traditionally styled cruiser might consider buying the yacht Royal Falcon One. This futuristic-looking megayacht, currently in the waters of Genoa, Italy, is for sale via private treaty.
Studio F.A. Porsche, a.k.a. Porsche Design Studio, began work on the design in 2008. At the time, she went by the project name RFF135, for Royal Falcon Fleet 135. (LOA is 135 feet, or 41 meters.) With backing by a group of Swedish investors, Royal Falcon Fleet intended to bring cutting-edge designs and technology to yachting. Royal Falcon One certainly turned heads when, after many delays, she was delivere in 2019. Her designers called her “a spaceship on water,” for her unusual superstructure styling. It equally referred to her intended performance. With her catamaran configuration (from Incat Crowther), she hits 37 knots. Altogether, she also provides significant volume, an intention from the start. Specifically, the yacht Royal Falcon One has a volume of 492 gross tons.
It doesn’t go unnoticed throughout her decks. In fact, the studio says, “The idea was to create the equivalent square footage of a 210-foot monohull yacht with the length of 135 feet.” Amid her four decks, she situates three VIP staterooms forward on the main deck. They’re just through a strikingly lit passageway from the saloon and dining area. Notably, each bed is designed to appear as if it’s floating above the floor—fitting for the spaceship analogy. The same is true for the last of the guest staterooms, although it’s more noteworthy for being on the deck directly above, along with the master suite. As for the master, it’s aft-facing and has private alfresco space.
Yet another feature setting the yacht Royal Falcon One apart is the Panoramic Lounge (below). It’s as good of an observation area as any, lying fully forward on the main deck. Between the abundant seating and bar area, the lounge is ideal for keeping a watch out for approaching destinations.
While the lounge can keep guests well entertained, further areas onboard do, too. The sundeck, for example, provides ample lounging space, especially given the 41-foot (12.5-meter) beam. It has a hot tub, too. Two more bars, a 10-person dining area (top), and stowage for everything from stand-up paddleboards to kayaks and a tender are key as well.
The asking price is available upon application. However, for comparison, she was listed at €22.95 million when initially put up for sale two years ago. That’s the equivalent of $24.7 million in today’s dollars.
