Having celebrated her launch last November, the yacht Pazienza has departed Cantiere delle Marche for blue-water voyaging. Abundant days at sea await in the owners’ home of Australia and elsewhere along the way.
The megayacht pairs stylish looks with engineering and design for crossing oceans in varying weather. It’s a formula that has worked for several previous Cantiere delle Marche deliveries, including the similar-size Stellamar last year. Despite the two being in the RJ semi-custom series, though, they have marked differences. For instance, Stellamar accommodates eight to 10 friends and family in four staterooms below decks. Pullman berths account for the higher total. Aboard Pazienza, although four cabins are below, one also with a pullman berth, a VIP is on the upper deck. Additionally, Pazienza has a side-opening tender garage with an overhead crane. This complements a retractable crane on the sundeck for another concealed tender there. (That tender remains stowed only for long passages.) Stellamar’s tenders all tuck away together aft. Yet another difference, the owners of Pazienza added a helm station to the sundeck.
Speaking of the sundeck, it’s the largest alfresco space onboard. It can be an all-day area, too. A pool perches at the aft edge, all the more striking due to naturally banded agate partly cladding it. Sunning space accompanies the pool. More agate covers a bar, adjacent to the dining area, ideal for pre- or post-dinner cocktails.
Throughout the interior, the owners keep the mood warm and relaxing. Satin-finished oak wall paneling pairs with bleached-oak soles and cream-colored carpeting. Francesco Paszkowski’s studio custom-designed several furnishings for the owners, primarily in neutral tones, though also with blues here and there. Overall, the casually elegant ambience simultaneously welcomes guests and prevents detracting from the great outdoors. In fact, the large lounging area on the upper deck faces aft, for panoramic views.
Finally, although the captain’s cabin is below decks with the rest of the crew, crew access to leisure and technical areas alike adheres to the typically strong Cantiere delle Marche standard. Stairs connect it to the main-deck galley, for example, plus the tender garage has a door to the engine room. Crew further get all-around access to the powerplants and other systems.
From openable windows in the master suite to the expansive outdoor areas, the yacht Pazienza rewards the owners with multiple ways to enjoy the lifestyle. Cantiere delle Marche is reaping rewards, too. With several contracts in hand, the shipyard finds its approach is resonating with even more cruisers, including an influx from the United States and Australia. “It demonstrates that style and elegance can be perfectly combined with the rugged character typical of our explorer yachts,” says Vasco Buonpensiere, the yard’s co-founder and CEO. “Regardless of the model or size, these boats are ideal for venturing into remote areas where assistance is scarce or even non-existent.”
